Welcome to the Mylemarks Monthly newsletter! October's Resource of the Month is a Habit Tracker for teens! A habit tracker is an easy way for your clients to be able to track a new habit that they are trying to develop (positive self-care activities) or current behaviors that they are trying to eliminate (negative coping skills). It also comes in handy in tracking progress towards a goal. This tracker spans over 21 days and allows the client to record habits for multiple behaviors. Here are a few suggestions of habits to track for teens:
Try it out, and let us know the ways you utilize the Habit Tracker with your clients!

We've been working with Dr. Catie Greene, LPC to develop content specific to LGBTQ+ kids and teens. These resources are designed to be an interactive way to help clients explore and process their sexual and gender identities in a safe space. National Coming Out Day is next Monday, October 11, and we're hoping that these resources can be beneficial to those clients selecting this date to come out to their close friends and family. In the News
Social media can help us stay connected and informed, but sometimes the negativity and misinformation (doomscrolling) can take its toll on our mental health. This article provides tips on how to have a balanced "digital diet" and re-examine your relationship with social media.
To mindfully define the relationship that you want with social media, you can ask yourself:
-What does a healthy relationship look like to me?
2. What needs am I trying to meet right now?
3. Scan your body - how do you feel after an hour online? Is that too much time?

"I am a mental health counselor and this is the first time I received your newsletter. It is amazing and I have shared it with my colleagues. I especially liked the resources and the free download, I can cope with feeling stressed.
I have used it with individual and group with great results! I am so excited to go through your other resources. This is awesome and is like a breath of fresh air to the start of this school year!
I do like Mylemarks because of the free resources due to my budget is limited. I like the easy way you can explain to the students about the worksheets that I use in my everyday practice.
I am grateful for the brilliant and relevant resources that Mylemarks develops which reflects clinical experience but most importantly understanding of the needs of young people navigating their way in the world.
