Guess How I'm Feeling! is played like the classic game of Guess Who? with an added focus on feelings, facial expressions, and social cues. Help your clients enhance their emotional vocabulary while having fun! There are many ways to play and adapt the game in your sessions.
In this download, you will receive a printable version that can be downloaded, printed, and cut to fit the game boards. (Game boards not included). Don't have any boards on hand? Not to worry! We've provided suggestions that allow you to still be able to play the game with clients.
If you're looking for telehealth or distance counseling options, you're in luck. This product also comes with 2 digital versions! This download contains an interactive PDF which is opened by each player on their device. Opponents are able to play virtually and can click directly in the file to cross out the characters as they are eliminated. We've also included a Google Slides version with the link and instructions provided on the PDF.
Download is a .zip folder containing the resources. A program (such as WinZip) is required to extract and access the files.
Gameplay Options
Traditional Play
Players take turns asking “yes” or “no” questions to eliminate characters based on physical characteristics or any other defining quality. The first person to make a correct guess of the other person’s feeling is the winner.
Would I Be Feeling...?
Players take turns asking questions providing examples of feelings scenarios. They might ask, “Would I be feeling this way if I had a big test coming up?” or “Would I be feeling this way if I just won the lottery?”
No Talking
This option is played like charades which involves no talking by either player. Rather than asking questions, players act out the feelings that they are guessing and the other player either nods yes or shakes their head no.
